Edinburgh extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 6-13 in the process. Everything went their way against the Columbus Christian Crusaders as they made off with a 22-8 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 23-1 on Monday.
Cole White made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. White was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That triple was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Ayden Swallows and Milas Burkman did most of the damage at the plate: Swallows got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Burkman got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases. Burkman is becoming a predictor of Edinburgh's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 3-13 when he doesn't). Carter Mead-Whited was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run.
Edinburgh always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .610. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
As for Columbus Christian, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. On the bright side, the eight- run performance marked their highest-scoring matchup to date.
On Columbus Christian's side, Andrew Lucas stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Wesley Brumfiel, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Coming up, Edinburgh will venture away from home to challenge Jac-Cen-Del at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Columbus Christian, they will take on Tindley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
