Round Lake has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Grayslake Central Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Round Lake posted their biggest win yet this season on Wednesday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 41-12 win over North Chicago. The victory was just what Round Lake needed coming off of a 52-22 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Grayslake Central had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They blew past Antioch 57-35. Grayslake Central has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 22 points or more this season.
Round Lake's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-14. As for Grayslake Central, they pushed their record up to 17-6 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Round Lake was taken down by Grayslake Central 52-22 in their previous matchup on Monday. Can Round Lake avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
