Trinity Christian hasn't had much luck against Madonna recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Blue Dons at 5:30 p.m. Trinity Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.2 runs per game this season.
On Saturday, Trinity Christian earned a 10-5 win over Oak Glen.

Parker Hopkins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Nathan Adams and Thomas Dinkel did most of the damage at the plate: Adams scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances, while Dinkel went 1-for-2 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Adams is becoming a predictor of Trinity Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 0-3 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Brady Hutson, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Trinity Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Madonna owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over Weir. Those three runs were actually the fewest the Blue Dons have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
Madonna's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kaiden Wells, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Brayden Miller also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.
The victory made it two in a row for Madonna and bumps their season record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Trinity Christian, their record is now 6-3.
Monday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Trinity Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .532. However, it's not like Madonna struggles in that department as they've averaged .453. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Trinity Christian might still be hurting after the 17-1 loss they got from Madonna when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
