Oblong took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Martinsville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The victory got Oblong back to even at 1-1.
Coming up, Oblong will take on Lawrenceville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Martinsville, they have already played their next contest, a 10-6 win against Arcola on the 24th.
