Lake Station Edison and River Forest are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the River Forest Ingots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Lake Station Edison didn't have too much trouble with Bowman Academy on the road as they won 59-40. The victory was just what Lake Station Edison needed coming off of a 62-40 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, River Forest was able to grind out a solid win over South Newton on Saturday, taking the game 38-31. The victory was just what River Forest needed coming off of a 75-28 loss in their prior match.
Lake Station Edison's record is now 13-7. River Forest's record is now 8-12.
Everything came up roses for Lake Station Edison against River Forest when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 79-41 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake Station Edison since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
