The Central Valley Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by Anderson 63-26. Central Valley has not had much luck with Anderson recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Loss or not, Central Valley got some senior leadership from Kanin Harris and Michael Knight. Harris scored seven points along with 12 rebounds, while Knight. scored seven points.
Central Valley's loss was their 19th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Anderson, their victory ended a eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Valley will face off against Yreka at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Yreka has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Anderson will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against University Prep at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. University Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine games -- so hopefully Anderson likes a good challenge.
