Smyrna came into Thursday's contest having lost 12 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past Knowledge Academies, posting a 51-18 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bulldogs have posted since December 8, 2023.

Despite the defeat, Knowledge Academies had strong showings from Nessiah Griffin-Washington, who posted two points along with five rebounds and four steals, and Marytxell Cruz Hernandez, who scored two points and six boards. Griffin-Washington has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.

Smyrna's win ended an eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-12. As for Knowledge Academies, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with the loss, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Smyrna won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Wilson Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Smyrna is facing Wilson Central at the right time seeing as Wilson Central is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Knowledge Academies, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Jo Byrns at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
