The Meadowbrook Colts will take on the John Glenn Little Muskies at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meadowbrook will be strutting in after a win while John Glenn will be coming in after a defeat.

Cohen Miles
Cohen Miles made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Meadowbrook is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-9 otherwise. Miles was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Meadowbrook let Braylon Lowery and Landon Khune run wild. Lowery went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run, while Khune went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. That's the most hits Khune has posted since back in April.
Meadowbrook kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, John Glenn fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Philo on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Electrics by a score of 5-4. The Little Muskies just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.
Zane Townsend was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Merry, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.
John Glenn's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Meadowbrook, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.
Meadowbrook was able to grind out a solid victory over John Glenn when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 11-8. Do the Colts have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Little Muskies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
