The East Duplin Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They fell 51-39 to North Lenoir. East Duplin has struggled against North Lenoir recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why East Duplin lost, one person who can't be blamed is Calvin Harper. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Jacorey Davis, who scored six points.
Even though they lost, East Duplin smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. This was only their 12th loss (out of 14 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
East Duplin has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season. As for North Lenoir, their win bumped their record up to 7-13.
East Duplin will head out on the road to take on South Lenoir at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Lenoir is on a five-game streak of home losses, East Duplin a seven-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. North Lenoir will take on James Kenan at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
