Turlock is a perfect 10-0 against Gregori since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Turlock got the win against Modesto by a conclusive 3-0.
The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-11, 25-18.
Turlock's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madilynn Bettencourt, who had nine digs and six aces. Those six aces gave Bettencourt a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bella Green, who had three digs and three aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Turlock was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Gregori, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Enochs on Tuesday.
In the three sets Gregori was on fire: they won each by at least 25 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-0, 25-0, 17-25, 25-0.
Turlock's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-6. As for Gregori, they now have a winning record of 13-12.
Turlock was able to grind out a solid victory over Gregori in their previous matchup back in September, winning 3-1. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
