Bothell is 0-10 against Woodinville since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bothell Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Woodinville Falcons at 6:50 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Bothell scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They breezed by Redmond on the road to the tune of 80-39. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bothell.
Bothell found their leader in underclassman Charlotte Lipkin, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Lipkin is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Yuna McConnell was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Woodinville put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 93-36 victory over Redmond. Given Woodinville's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while Redmond is ranked 79th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bothell pushed their record up to 4-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 39 points. As for Woodinville, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
Bothell came up short against Woodinville when the teams last played back in February, falling 56-46. Can Bothell avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
