The Gulliver Prep Raiders won the last time they faced TERRA Environmental, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Gulliver Prep came out on top against TERRA Environmental by a score of 49-38. The win made it back-to-back wins for Gulliver Prep.
Gulliver Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nicole Quevedo out in front who scored 17 points along with six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for Quevedo. The team also got some help courtesy of Caitlen Dauphin, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
TERRA Environmental lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Francesca Rodriguez, who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for Rodriguez. Angie Barrios was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Gulliver Prep has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for TERRA Environmental, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
Gulliver Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against Calvary Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calvary Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 371st, while Gulliver Prep is ranked 170th). As for TERRA Environmental, they will head out on the road to face off against Westminster Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westminster Christian is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
