The Windsor Owls will face off against the Festus Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Windsor took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Everything went their way against Ritenour as they made off with an 11-1 win. The Owls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by seven runs or more this season.

Brody Green and Keegan Murphy made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Green pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Murphy struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He is becoming a predictor of Windsor's success: when he allows at most two hits the team is 2-1 (and 3-4 when he doesn't). At the plate, Green scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Murphy scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two runs gave Green a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cole Scott, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Windsor: the team is undefeated when he posts at least one home run, but 2-5 otherwise. Skyler Johnson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
Windsor always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Festus had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They never let the Pirates get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory.
Festus saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Nolen, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. Another was Brayden Good, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.
Festus pushed their record up to 7-3-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Windsor, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Windsor couldn't quite get it done against Festus when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-1. Will the Owls have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
