 Elkhart was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .444. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wawasee only posted a  batting average of  .211.
 Elkhart's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Leo, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-0.
