Broken Bow is 2-8 against Poteau since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Savages will challenge the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Broken Bow knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Poteau likes a good challenge.

Broken Bow will have to contain Sam Tecla as he made an impact in Poteau's last game. He threw for 70 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 9-for-9 passing. Poteau also got a significant boost from Spencer Perry, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 105 yards.

Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Howell and Tecla. Howell just won't slow down this season and has thrown 17 touchdowns while averaging 194.6 passing yards per game. Tecla has been a dominant force too and has thrown 18 touchdowns while averaging 150.8 passing yards per game.
Broken Bow took a serious blow against Poteau in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 31-0. Can the Savages avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
