St. Mary's Academy lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Booker T. Washington, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's contest. The Cougars put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 21-11 win on Wednesday. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by ten runs or more this season.

St. Mary's Academy got a massive performance out of Demi Beard, who scored four runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Beard is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carin Marshall, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

St. Mary's Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

St. Mary's Academy pushed their record up to 6-4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.5 runs over those games. As for Booker T. Washington, they now have a losing record of 2-3-2.

Coming up, St. Mary's Academy will head out on the road to take on Cohen at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Booker T. Washington, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Booker T. Washington Lions challenge Kennedy Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kennedy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.17 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
