Followers of Lead-Deadwood probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories. The contest brought Lead-Deadwood to 5-1 and dropped Bennett County to a mirror-image 1-5.
Lead-Deadwood will stay at home next week against McLaughlin at 6:00 PM. McLaughlin took a loss in their last match and are no doubt out to reverse Lead-Deadwood's good fortune. Bennett County will look to defend their home turf against Red Cloud at 6:30 PM. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend.
