It was another big night for Prince Rider, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds for Gateway Charter Academy. Rider is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last six games he's played. Trevion Gabriel was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
A Plus Academy bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.0 points per game. As for Gateway Charter Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
Coincidentally, A Plus Academy and Gateway Charter Academy will both be playing Village Tech the next time they take the court. A Plus Academy will host Village Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Gateway Charter Academy will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
