The Oroville Hornets lost against the Curlew Cougars last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Oroville took a 52-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Curlew. Oroville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Logan Thompson, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for Curlew. The matchup was Thompson's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Olson, who scored 11 points.
Oroville's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Curlew, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oroville will challenge Republic at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Republic will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Curlew, they will head out on the road to face off against Selkirk at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Selkirk comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
