That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lakeview Centennial also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Several Titans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Elijah Darden, who scored 21 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Darden scored a full 50% of South Garland's points, the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jakius Greene was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Lakeview Centennial's win bumped their record up to 1-8. As for South Garland, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Lakeview Centennial will head out on the road to face off against Wylie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wylie has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 253 points over their last four matchups. As for South Garland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rowlett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rowlett is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
