If Tombstone was feeling good fresh off their 14-1 takedown of Morenci last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Tombstone fell just short of the Bisbee Pumas by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Kelly Bliss was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one triple.

Tombstone's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 11-4-1. As for Bisbee, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tombstone will square off against Tanque Verde at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Tanque Verde will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Tombstone surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bisbee, they will challenge Morenci at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Bisbee's favor as the squad sits on 12 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Morenci has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
