The Buffalo Bison can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They really took it to Newcastle for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-26 victory at home. Winning may never get old, but Buffalo sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Buffalo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tess Rule led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten steals. Rule is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Karly Davis was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Newcastle had strong showings from Sydney Pederson, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds, and Julie Morris, who scored no points. That was a full 61.5% of Newcastle's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Buffalo's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Newcastle, they bumped their record down to 6-6 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buffalo will take on Moorcroft at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
