They came out on top against Cross by a score of  7-3. The Golden Warrriors haven't had any issues with the Stingrays recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  win against them.

 Gabby Heathcott was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with one  stolen base and one  RBI. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ellie Heathcott, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 John Paul II was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cross only posted a  batting average of  .250.
 Meanwhile,  Laurence Manning Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their  nine-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against  Pee Dee Academy, falling  7-1. Having soared to a lofty 12  runs in the game before, the Swampcats couldn't push the score so high this time.
 John Paul II pushed their record up to 1-1 with the  victory, which was their tenth straight  at home dating back to last season. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Laurence Manning Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 12-2.
