Westchester Country Day was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight  defeat. They took  a  7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the High Point Christian Academy Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  10-2  last Tuesday.
  Ashton Pittman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs while going 1-for-2.  Jesse Covington was another key player,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
Westchester Country Day's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for High Point Christian Academy, the  win was  the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

Meanwhile, High Point Christian Academy will  take on  rival Caldwell Academy  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The timing is sure in High Point Christian Academy's favor as the  squad sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Caldwell Academy has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
