Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 11 more assists than your opponent, a fact the West Valley Eagles proved on Friday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 66-48 victory over Trinity. That's another feather in the cap for West Valley, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Heacock, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Heacock has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Chase Kalnins, who scored 18 points.
Luka Robles and Carver Dresselhaus certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Robles scored 12 points along with seven rebounds, while Dresselhaus scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Jackson Poburko was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
West Valley's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Trinity, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
West Valley and Paradise will face off at 1:30 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
