The Potter-Dix Coyotes will head out on the road to square off against the Prairie Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Potter-Dix is ranked 196th in Nebraska, while Prairie is ranked 191st in Colorado).
Last Thursday, Potter-Dix was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 43-39 to South Platte.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Brayden Kasten, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Caden Mcconnell was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Prairie didn't have too much trouble with Fleming at home last Saturday as they won 43-24. The win was just what Prairie needed coming off of a 60-34 loss in their prior game.
Potter-Dix has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Prairie, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5.
Everything came up roses for Potter-Dix against Prairie when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 71-19 win. With Potter-Dix ahead 45-13 at the half, the game was all but over already.
