Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Snyder). Everything went their way against the Cordell Blue Devils on Tuesday as Snyder made off with an 18-4 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cyclones in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won five in a row.

Blaize Rogers and Franky Valderas did most of the damage at the plate: Rogers went 1-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Valderas scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That home run marked the first that Rogers launched this season. Another player making a difference was Shawn Young, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Snyder always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Snyder's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-7. As for Cordell, they dropped their record down to 0-12 with the defeat, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.
