The University Bulldogs stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They really took it to Sterling for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-22 win at home. The win was familiar territory for University who now have four in a row.
University was led to victory by Addison Harding and Janay Kravig. Harding scored eight points along with five rebounds and five steals, while Kravig scored 11 points along with seven assists and three steals. Harding has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Maddie McNair, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds.
Sterling lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tatym Dempcy, who scored five points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Sterling struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as University pulled down 11 offensive rebounds.
University pushed their record up to 11-2 with that win, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.67 points. As for Sterling, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
University will head out on the road to take on Valley at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 190th, while University is ranked 30th). As for Sterling, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Resurrection Christian at 1:00 p.m. Hopefully Resurrection Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Thursday.
