North/Waukesha South's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 73-26 defeat at the hands of Arrowhead. While losing is never fun, North/Waukesha South can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 204th, while Arrowhead is ranked first).
Arrowhead was led to victory by Libby Gilmore and Natlie Kussow. Gilmore scored 23 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Kussow scored 25 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Kussow is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sidney Zehner, who scored nine points.
North/Waukesha South has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Arrowhead, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.
North/Waukesha South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Arrowhead won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mukwonago at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th.
