Last Wednesday, Barnwell took a serious blow against Hampton County, falling 89-41. Barnwell was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-22.
In what's become a running theme this season, Andrew Jackson gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. Everything went their way against Cheraw as Andrew Jackson made off with a 70-49 victory. Given Andrew Jackson's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Cheraw is ranked 221st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bryce Peterson was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with six assists and five steals. Jy'Kevius Johnson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Barnwell has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Andrew Jackson, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-3.
