Laurence Manning Academy pushed their record up to 19-2 with the  win, which was their 14th straight  at home dating back to last season. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Hammond, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
 Looking ahead, Laurence Manning Academy will host Pee Dee Academy  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Golden Eagles will roll in looking for their  19th straight  win, something the Swampcats surely won't give up without a fight. Hammond does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
