Baseball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Chapin's 11th in Last 12 Outings

Chapin barely beat White Knoll the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles blew past the Timberwolves 9-1 on Monday. Considering the Eagles have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Chapin got a great performance from Mac Berry as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Berry has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cambell Todd was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Kaden Harris also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Chapin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for White Knoll, they dropped their record down to 4-20 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road.

Chapin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for White Knoll, they will take on Lower Richland at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
