The Aquinas Falcons posted their biggest  win since December 12, 2023 on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a  62-38 margin over Xavier Prep. The  game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  37-14.
 Aquinas' win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Paten Calloway IV, who  scored 17 points along with six  assists and six  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Calloway IV has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Bol Dhieu, who  scored 14 points along with eight  rebounds.
 Despite the  loss, Xavier Prep saw an underclassman step up:  Paul Dreisbach  scored 20 points.  Johnny Ferrel was another key contributor,  scoring eight points along with two  steals.
 Aquinas' win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Xavier Prep, they bumped their record down to 4-14 with that  defeat, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aquinas will  challenge Linfield Christian at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. One thing working in Linfield Christian's favor is that they have posted big  point totals  in their last eight games. As for Xavier Prep, they will head out on the road to  take on  Rancho Mirage at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Rancho Mirage presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Xavier Prep in California (Rancho Mirage is ranked 458th, while Xavier Prep is ranked 1089th).
