The Newton Rams will be playing at home against the Eastside Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Thursday, Newton was the victim of a tough 6-1 loss at the hands of Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy. Newton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Eastside had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 goals), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They put the hurt on Arabia Mountain with a sharp 12-2 victory. It was an even better day for Gabe Guerrroro as he scored three goals for his team.
Newton's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Eastside, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0.
Newton might still be hurting after the 6-2 defeat they got from Eastside in their previous meeting back in March of 2019. Will Newton have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more soccer content.
