After losing to the Purchase Line Red Dragons the last time they met, the Marion Center Stingers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Marion Center claimed a resounding 52-21 win over Purchase Line on the road. With Marion Center ahead 39-11 at the half, the match was all but over already.
It was another big night for Noah Mccoy, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. Cameron Pack was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Despite the loss, Purchase Line had strong showings from Stephen Perruso, who scored six points along with five rebounds, and Brandon Buterbaugh, who scored six points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Buterbaugh has scored all season.
The victory got Marion Center back to even at 3-3. As for Purchase Line, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Marion Center will be home for the holidays to greet Harmony Area at 7:10 p.m. on Monday. As for Purchase Line, they will head out on the road to face off against Penns Manor at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Penns Manor has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
