Show Low had won six straight at home, but on Friday they bumped their record up to 22-6 to make it seven. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Winslow Bulldogs 9-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-3 back in March.

Addisyn Clark made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.
Clark wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Rylee Wyatt, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Ari Rivera was another, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
As for Winslow, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 17-12 record. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since April 15, 2024.
Like Show Low, Winslow also got a great game from a two-way player: Kyah Wilcox. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and seven unearned) runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). Furthermore, Wilcox didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in March. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Ara Leonard made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Show Low has already played their next match, an 8-6 win against Joseph City on the 26th. As for Winslow, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-5 defeat against Snowflake on the 28th.
