West Aurora took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Proviso East Pirates 53-0 at home. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Blackhawks as it put an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.
West Aurora was led to victory by Bryce Riley and Mason Atkins. Riley rushed for 58 yards and a touchdown, while Atkins punched in a rushing score. Nicholas Weisse made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
