Franklinville is 1-9 against Ellicottville since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Franklinville Panthers will look to defend their home court against the Ellicottville Eagles at 7:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, Ellicottville had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 35-33 win over Clymer Central. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Ellicottville has posted yet this season.
Owen Chudy was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Mendell, who scored six points.
Franklinville bumped their record down to 0-2 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Ellicottville, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
