Start fell victim to Genoa Area and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (2-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Their loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Start's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4-1. As for Genoa Area, their win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

Coming up, Start will challenge Woodward at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans are facing the Polar Bears at the right time seeing as the Polar Bears are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Genoa Area, they will take on Oak Harbor at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rockets will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Comets surely won't give up without a fight.
