Parish Episcopal has gone a perfect 10-0 against Bishop Lynch recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will square off against the Friars at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Parish Episcopal's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last eight games.
Parish Episcopal proved they can win big back in October (they won by 28) and two weeks ago they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Prestonwood Christian 38-35. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Lions are ranked 218th).

Parish Episcopal's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Beckham Smith, who picked up 161 receiving yards and one score. Those 161 receiving yards gave Smith a new career-high. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Jaylen Pile, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 14 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Pile, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Parish Episcopal didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Connor Corwin and Jesse Richardson. Corwin has been hot recently, having also posted six or more total tackles the last four times he's played. Parish Episcopal got some further help from Benjamin Rich: he made 13 total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Bishop Lynch's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were dealt a 49-13 loss at the hands of Liberty Christian. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Friars have suffered since November 8, 2024.
Parish Episcopal pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.3 points over those games. As for Bishop Lynch, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
Everything came up roses for Parish Episcopal against Bishop Lynch when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 49-20 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
