Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Greenbrier Christian Academy blew Portsmouth Christian out of the water with a 43-14 final score. Greenbrier Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Bayleigh Kaliher, who posted six points in addition to nine blocks, eight boards, and seven steals. Kaliher is crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Harmon, who went 5 of 7 on her way to 11 points.
Greenbrier Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 12 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Summit Christian Academy is still winless after their match against Walsingham Academy on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 25-23 heartbreaker at the hands of the Trojans.
Emmy Coleman was Summit Christian Academy's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Leah Ashmore held things down on the boards with six rebounds.
Greenbrier Christian Academy pushed their record up to 2-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Summit Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Greenbrier Christian Academy has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 35.7 boards per game.
