Despite the loss, Charlotte Christian still got an impressive performance from Daniel Guandolo, who scored 27 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Matty Carroll, who scored ten points.
Charlotte Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-20 record this season. As for Cannon, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Charlotte Christian will take on Charlotte Latin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Charlotte Christian is coming into the contest with five straight losses on the road, meaning Charlotte Latin will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Cannon, they will square off against Providence Day at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence Day will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Cannon surely won't give up without a fight.
