The Milaca Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 69-54 to Pierz. Milaca was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.
Milaca lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Colin Marudas, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Brock Talberg was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Milaca dropped their record down to 1-14 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Pierz, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11.
Milaca will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Flyers at 7:15 p.m. Little Falls presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Wolves in Minnesota (the Flyers are ranked 157th, while the Wolves are ranked 381st). As for Pierz, they will head out on the road to take on the Falcons at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
