Lyle/Wishram are packing up and hiking across state lines for their game on Thursday. They will challenge St. Paul on the road at 4:00 PM. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
Everything went Lyle/Wishram's way against Adrian/Jordan Valley last Saturday as they made off with a 46-22 victory. Among those leading the charge for Lyle/Wishram was junior Brandon Montoya, who rushed for 381 yards and 6 touchdowns. That makes it six straight good games in a row from Montoya.
Meanwhile, St. Paul might be getting used to good results now that the team has seven wins in a row. They steamrollered Siletz Valley 71-6. The lopsided score is just par for the course this season for St. Paul, who can brag about six blowout wins.
Their wins bumped St. Paul to 7-0 and Lyle/Wishram to 5-1. After the lofty point totals in their previous games, we'll see if they're able to heat things up even more while facing each other.
