Pattonville is 2-8 against Hazelwood East since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Pattonville Pirates will head out on the road to take on the Hazelwood East Spartans at 5:30 p.m. Pattonville is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Thursday, Pattonville was able to grind out a solid win over Parkway Central, taking the game 60-48.
Meanwhile, Hazelwood East entered their tilt with Parkway South with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Hazelwood East secured a 49-45 W over Parkway South on Tuesday. Given Hazelwood East's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Parkway South is ranked 320th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Pattonville's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Hazelwood East, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Pattonville came up short against Hazelwood East in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 54-46. Can Pattonville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
