After eight games on the road, Calusa Prep is heading back home. They will take on the Horeb Christian Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Calusa Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully the Mustangs likes a good challenge.
Calusa Prep scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Monday. They walked away with an 85-74 victory over Miami Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, Horeb Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 68-24 loss at the hands of Don Soffer Aventura.
Calusa Prep's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Horeb Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Calusa Prep against the Mustangs when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 72-31 victory. Will Calusa Prep repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
