The Dixie Flyers waltzed into their game on Wednesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They claimed a resounding 86-51 win over Cedar on the road. Given Dixie's advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while Cedar is ranked 83rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dixie's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kyle Lemke, who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. Lemke has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jordan Roberts, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 20 assists.
Dixie's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Cedar, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.
Dixie will be playing at home against Crimson Cliffs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Crimson Cliffs has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 496 points over their last seven matchups. As for Cedar, they will head out on the road to challenge Hurricane at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hurricane is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
