The Austin Catholic Crusaders lost against the Parkway Christian Eagles back in March of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Austin Catholic fell 52-44 to Parkway Christian. Austin Catholic has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Parkway Christian can attribute much of their success to Tyler Powers, who scored 21 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Powers has scored at least 25% of Parkway Christian's points. Nathaniel Harrison-lizbinski was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 16 rebounds.
Austin Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Parkway Christian, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Austin Catholic will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Shrine Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for Parkway Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Oakland Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
