The Manor Mustangs were the 44-9 winner over the Round Rock Westwood Warriors when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Manor fell 28-21 to Round Rock Westwood on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Manor can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while Round Rock Westwood is ranked 155th).
Despite the loss, Manor still got an impressive performance from Titus Petteway, who rushed for 162 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.0 yards per carry. Petteway was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 62 yards.
Demani Stewart was his usual excellent self, rushing for 217 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Stewart hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for nine straight games.
Manor has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Round Rock Westwood, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Manor will be playing in front of their home fans against Stony Point at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. As for Round Rock Westwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Vandegrift at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Vandegrift is on a three-game streak of home wins, Round Rock Westwood a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
