If the Clark Fork Wampus Cats were feeling good off their 73-35 takedown of the Kootenai Warriors last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Clark Fork was outmatched by the Knights on the road and fell 90-50. While losing is never fun, Clark Fork can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Knights are ranked 31st).
Lakeside's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyson Charley, who scored 20 points along with two steals. Charley is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Brutis Sijohn, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Clark Fork's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Lakeside, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.
Clark Fork will be playing at home against the Cristeros at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Immaculate Conception Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Lakeside, they will head out on the road to take on the Badgers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bonners Ferry is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
